	Captain Leonard Frank Plugge(Wikipedia) PLUGGE, Captain Leonard (1889-1981) British Scientist, Politician and Inventor of the car radio two way telephone. Plugge was also the first man to broadcast a Pirate Radio Station, Radio Normandy, in the 1930s. He so enthusiastically endorsed products on his station that he contributed a word to the English language: to "plug" a product. (See also: Science - Inventors)
