Our family arms. As you can see it was a family of sailors.

The emblem of Zeeland, the county where I was born. It depicts a lion in a everlasting struggle against the sea.

And a pretty picture of the city Veere.
Zeeland is several feet below sea level. The saying goes: "God created the earth, but Zeeland was created by the Zeeuwen" (FYI, someone from Zeeland is called a 'Zeeuw')
